Meet Clara

In high school, I developed a fascination with computers and technology, which I viewed as a practical career choice. Simultaneously, my love for baking flourished. While pursuing my IT (Information Technology) degree, I worked part-time in French bakeries in Maryland and Washington D.C, cafés where I became a barista , and later in commercial bakeries, where I had to put over 15 plus cakes a day.

 

I graduated with my degree in IT, but kept working in bakeries: fixing POS systems, created flyers, menus, and troubleshooted routers from time to time. I met some incredible people along the way, and gained skills that have made me the baker I am today!

 

Gaining nearly a decade of hands-on baking experience, I took the plunge and founded ClaraJane’s Cakes in 2020! I had no idea of the incredible journey that awaited me.

 

I believe that baking is a true labor of love, and that care is evident in every creation. By blending high-quality ingredients with creativity and craftsmanship, I aim to produce desserts that are both delicious and visually stunning.
